President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to participate in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the 'SCO Plus' format meeting. This was reported by the presidential press service.

At Manas International Airport, the head of state and his wife were welcomed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan — Head of the Presidential Administration Adilbek Kasymaliev and other officials. During the visit, the Uzbek leader is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings.

Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also attend the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games. This event is significant for showcasing the region's cultural heritage and strengthening international cooperation.

The SCO summit is expected to discuss pressing issues of security, economic cooperation, and regional stability. The Uzbek leadership intends to use this platform to put forward proposals for further development of regional ties.
