Uzbekistan's tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova has made a successful start at the US Open in New York, defeating Czech player Barbora Krejčíková, ranked 29th in the world, in the first round.

Rakhimova, who is currently ranked 92nd, won the first set in a tie-break 7-6. In the second set, she controlled the game confidently and secured victory with a score of 6-2.

On the same day, August 31, another Uzbek player, Maria Timofeeva, ranked 86th, took to the court. Her opponent was Slovenian Tamara Zidanšek, ranked 149th.
