A delegation from Uzbekistan is taking part in the International Space Summit held in Paris on September 9–10. The country is represented at the event by the "Uzbekcosmos" Agency. The summit brings together representatives of states and leading industry companies to discuss the development of space programs, international cooperation, and the role of private business in space exploration.

Uzbekistan's participation in the summit was discussed back in February during a meeting between the Director of "Uzbekcosmos," Shukhrat Kadyrov, and the French Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Oualid Fouk. At that time, the French side invited the agency's delegation to the event and proposed expanding cooperation with the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES).

The parties also discussed specialist training, joint educational programs, a 6U satellite project, and prospects for training Uzbekistan's first national cosmonaut. Cooperation between the two countries already includes projects in the field of Earth remote sensing and interaction with French space organizations.

Earlier it was reported that two representatives of Uzbekistan are participating in the international space project Mission ShakthiSAT in India.
