On September 14, a solemn welcoming ceremony for Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took place at the "Chong Wa Dae" residence in South Korea, according to the press service of the Uzbek president. The event marked a key moment of the state visit.

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and his wife greeted the Uzbek leader and his spouse. An honor guard was lined up in honor of the guests, and the national anthems of both countries were played. The presidents walked past the honor guard and greeted members of the official delegations. The ceremony followed international protocol.

Afterwards, the Uzbek leader signed the Guest Book at the "Chong Wa Dae" palace. After a joint photo, high-level negotiations began. The talks are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including trade, economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian ties.

The visit aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea. The sides also plan to exchange views on regional and international issues. Official sources do not rule out the signing of joint documents following the visit.
