Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived at the presidential residence "Chong Wa Dae" in Seoul on September 14, where an official welcoming ceremony was held. The head of state and his spouse were greeted by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung and the First Lady.

An honor guard was lined up in honor of the Uzbek leader, followed by the national anthems of both countries. Mirziyoyev and Lee Jae-myung inspected the guard and greeted members of the official delegations. The President of Uzbekistan then left an entry in the residence's Book of Distinguished Guests.

After a joint photo, the heads of state began high-level talks. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including trade and economic ties, investments, transport, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges. A number of bilateral documents are planned to be signed.

Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev's state visit to South Korea began with a visit to the National Memorial Complex in Seoul, where the President laid a wreath at the Memorial Column and honored the memory of those who died for the country's independence. The visit aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
