During the second phase of the large-scale operational and preventive operation 'Qoradaryo-2026', control flights using helicopter technology were conducted across all regions of the republic. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 70 kg of drug-containing plants grown in citizens' homes were destroyed as a result.

In particular, as a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the Operational Search Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its territorial divisions, a citizen was detained in the Altynkul district of Andijan region for storing 24 kg of marijuana in his home. A farm manager living in the same district was also detained. It was found that he organized a plantation, growing 520 cannabis bushes on a land plot of 200 square meters.

Similar checks were conducted in the Izbaskan district. It was established that a citizen stored 6 kg 100 g of marijuana in his home. Operational activities continued in Samarkand region. Thus, in Samarkand district, a citizen was detained who planted and grew 41 cannabis bushes on his household plot and also stored 400 g of marijuana.

Control measures using helicopters were also carried out in Bukhara region. In Bukhara district, a married couple was detained for planting and growing 46 cannabis bushes on the household plot of their home. In another case, family members were detained for growing 53 cannabis bushes on a land plot of 42 square meters.

Criminal cases have been initiated against all the above-mentioned persons under the relevant points of parts 1 and 2 of Article 270 (Cultivation of prohibited crops) and part 6 of Article 273 (Illegal production, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, and an investigation is underway.
