A major international summit dedicated to child well-being and the future of children will take place in Samarkand on October 21–22, 2026. The event is expected to bring together political leaders, ministers, representatives of international organizations, experts, as well as children and adolescents from more than 100 countries.

The program includes an official opening ceremony, panel sessions, and visits by participants to social sector facilities in Uzbekistan. Discussions will focus on social protection for children and families, access to social services, child health, early development, and inclusive education.

In addition, the forum will host the II International Congress on Pediatric Oncology. Participants intend to combine international experience and best practices to develop practical solutions and create a more effective support system for the younger generation.

The event is presented as a way to strengthen Uzbekistan's international image and showcase social reforms. However, the practical outcomes of such large-scale forums and the extent to which stated goals are actually achieved remain open to question.
