The coaching staff of the Uzbekistan national football team, led by head coach Fabio Cannavaro, has been expanded with two new specialists, according to the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA). The new members will be responsible for the players' physical condition, recovery, and sports nutrition.
One of the additions is physiotherapist Silvano Cotti. He brings years of international experience, having worked with the Italian national team as well as clubs such as Inter, Milan, Chelsea, and Roma. He has also worked with the Chinese national team. Cotti's expertise in physiotherapy and rehabilitation is expected to help maintain the players' optimal physical condition and speed up their recovery from injuries.
The other specialist is Andrea Iuliano, a sports nutritionist. He is a biologist-nutritionist and an expert in sports nutrition. Throughout his career, he has worked with Udinese and the Switzerland U-21 national team. Iuliano will be responsible for developing and monitoring the players' diet, which directly affects their endurance and on-field performance.
The new specialists will take part in the preparation of the Uzbekistan national team, ensuring the players' physical readiness, recovery, and proper sports nutrition. This move aims to enhance the team's competitiveness ahead of important international tournaments.
Recall that Fabio Cannavaro was appointed head coach of the Uzbekistan national team in 2023. Under his leadership, the team is participating in the Asian Cup and World Cup qualifiers. The addition of experienced foreign specialists is expected to strengthen the coaching staff and improve the team's results.
