Uzbekistan's U23 team, managed by Ravshan Haydarov, defeated Vietnam 2:0 in their final group stage match. The victory secured first place in Group C and a spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Uzbekistan took the lead as early as the 5th minute through Muhammadali Urinboev. In the second half, Nurlan Ibraimov doubled the advantage in the 67th minute, sealing a comfortable win for the Central Asian side.

With this result, Uzbekistan completed the group stage with a perfect record: three wins from three matches and nine points. In their opening fixture, they thrashed the Philippines 5:1, before edging Kuwait 2:0.

Over the three games, Haydarov's men scored nine goals and conceded just one, underlining their strength in both attack and defense. Their first-place finish in Group C was thoroughly deserved.

In the quarterfinals, Uzbekistan will face the runner-up of Group D. According to the tournament schedule, the match will take place on September 25. Fans are hopeful that the team can maintain their momentum and challenge for a medal.
