Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The number of tourists from France visiting Uzbekistan in January–August 2026 increased by 20.6% compared to the same period last year, exceeding 22,000 people. France entered the top five European countries with the highest tourist flow to Uzbekistan.

The Tourism Committee reported this to Podrobno.uz. According to the agency, direct air service between Paris and Tashkent remains one of the factors supporting the development of tourism ties.

At the same time, cooperation between the two countries in tourism is not limited to travel. French business is involved in Uzbekistan's tourism infrastructure projects, including those related to the development of mountain resorts, cable transport, and the hotel sector. French specialists have also been involved in developing concepts for new tourist complexes.

Another area of interaction remains the promotion of Uzbekistan in the French tourism market. This year, the country is participating in the IFTM Top Resa international exhibition in Paris as a country of honor. The event includes meetings between representatives of the Uzbek and French tourism industries, including tour operators, airlines, and hotel business representatives.

In parallel, Uzbekistan is expanding its tourism offerings for foreign travelers. In addition to traditional routes through Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, mountain, wellness, gastronomic, and nature tourism, as well as business trips, are being developed.
