President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a two-day visit to the Andijan region, according to the presidential press service.

The visit program includes familiarization with the region's industrial and investment potential, as well as projects in energy, agriculture, transport, tourism, and other sectors. The President will also inspect construction and improvement works in local communities (mahallas).

During the trip, the launch of several new production facilities and the start of construction on promising projects are planned, the press service said.

In addition, a meeting will be held to discuss priority areas for the further development of the Andijan region. Important decisions on regional development are expected to be made.
