47 modern buses manufactured in China have been delivered to the Khorezm region, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport. Of these, 32 are Zhongtong and 15 are Yutong models. They were purchased by companies operating passenger transport in the region: “Xorazm Dovud servistrans”, “Bunyod avto Urganch”, and “Ancient Khorezm Oasis”.

The new buses are planned to be deployed on internal routes in the city of Urgench. This is expected to improve convenience for city residents and contribute to the further development of the public transport system. According to the Ministry of Transport, the introduction of the gross contract system in public transport has incentivized private carriers in the regions to renew their bus fleets.

Since 2023, excluding Tashkent city, private entrepreneurs have purchased more than 2,000 buses in the country's regions. These figures indicate the system's effectiveness. In the Khorezm region, the number of buses purchased by entrepreneurs since the beginning of this year has reached 139. This is part of efforts to improve transport infrastructure in the region.

In early September, 30 Zhongtong buses from China were also delivered to Khorezm, which were announced to be deployed on internal routes in Urgench. Thus, a total of 77 new buses are being prepared for operation in the region. This will expand the population's access to public transport and improve intra-city mobility.
