Officers of the State Security Service (SGB), together with internal affairs bodies and the customs service, conducted several operations in the Fergana and Namangan regions. As a result, about 2.6 kilograms of hashish were seized from illegal circulation, and several people were detained.

In the Pap district of Namangan region, a Chevrolet Cobalt traveling on the Fergana–Tashkent route was stopped at the "Namangan" traffic police post. During an inspection of the car, a hidden package containing one kilogram of hashish was found in the trunk. The driver was a 31-year-old resident of Chirchiq. The drug was seized as material evidence.

Another case was detected in the Chust district. Law enforcement officers stopped a VAZ-2103 car belonging to a 39-year-old resident of Yangi Namangan district, previously convicted, for inspection. 995 grams of hashish were found in the car's interior.

In addition, in Namangan, law enforcement officers conducted a search at the home of a 51-year-old local resident. Another 648 grams of hashish were found in the basement. The investigation established that the man had purchased the drug for $5,000 from an acquaintance in Yangi Namangan district. He was also detained.

Criminal cases have been initiated on all identified facts. Investigative actions are currently ongoing. Earlier, in Kibray, Tashkent region, customs officers seized almost 95 kg of hashish. The drugs were found in a cache that was under surveillance. Later, two men and the alleged organizer of the scheme were detained.
