On February 28, the U.S. and Israel conducted strikes on Iranian territory, with Iran retaliating against U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf. Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the attack on his Tehran residence.

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "deep concern" over the escalation and urged restraint and political-diplomatic solutions. Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov discussed the situation with Middle Eastern counterparts and conveyed support from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered the development of emergency measures, with security forces placed on round-the-clock alert. He sent letters to leaders of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, condemning military actions that harm sovereignty.

Kyrgyzstan called for an immediate halt to military actions, advised citizens against travel to Iran, and recommended contacting the embassy in Tehran in emergencies.

Tajikistan's MFA termed the events an "unprecedented escalation," with its embassy advising citizens to leave the country.

Turkmenistan issued no official statement.
