Behzod Musayev, the former director of the Migration Agency, has officially assumed the role of chairman of the board of the Vatandoshlar Public Foundation. This appointment was confirmed by updates published on the foundation's official website.

Reports indicate that Musayev succeeds Odiljon Sattorov, who had been leading the organization since September 2021. Sattorov is now listed on the platform as the deputy chairman of the board.

The Vatandoshlar Public Foundation was established back in 2021 by a presidential decree aimed at fostering cooperation with compatriots living abroad and protecting their rights and freedoms. The initial capital allocated to launch the foundation's operations stood at 5 billion soms.

For context, Musayev, born in 1973, was appointed to head the Migration Agency in September 2024. Leadership at the agency shifted later, with Muxsinkhoja Abdurahmonov taking over the director position in September 2026.

Throughout his extensive career in public service, Musayev has held several high-profile positions. His previous roles include Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment, Minister of Health, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Development, as well as chairman of the Accounts Chamber and the State Tax Committee.
