According to reports from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, a 19-year-old citizen of the country whose health sharply deteriorated during his stay in Turkey has been successfully returned to his homeland. The young man had reportedly traveled to Turkey for employment purposes, but due sudden health complications, he was unable to continue working and decided to head back.
After purchasing a flight ticket, the individual suddenly lost consciousness at the Istanbul airport terminal. Emergency medical teams swiftly hospitalized him at the 'Çam and Sakura' city hospital located in the Başakşehir district, where local physicians provided urgent medical care. Part of the treatment costs was reportedly covered through the financial assistance of fellow compatriots living and working in Turkey. *
Officials from the Consulate General and the Migration Agency took the situation under control, resolving complex organizational issues regarding the citizen's repatriation. Thanks to these coordinated measures, the young man was safely transported back to Uzbekistan. The diplomatic mission extended its gratitude to all citizens who lent a helping hand during this critical ordeal.
