Law enforcement agencies in the Tashkent region have reportedly dismantled an underground online drug distribution network operating in Chirchik and the Kibray district. During a series of coordinated operations, authorities detained several individuals allegedly involved in distributing illicit substances through hidden drops. Local reports indicate with concern that the criminal scheme actively recruited underage girls and university students. * *+
The initial arrests took place in Chirchik, where two young females, aged 20 and 17, were supposedly caught red-handed while distributing 41 packets of synthetic drugs. Subsequent searches of the 17-year-old suspect's rented apartment allegedly revealed an additional 1.25 kilograms of illegal substances earmarked for retail sale. Further inquiries purportedly led to the identification of another 16-year-old girl, who was detained alongside a 38-year-old woman while dropping off 150 grams of synthetic narcotics.
A search of the older woman's residence allegedly uncovered a massive cache of drugs, including 2.85 kilograms of mephedrone, 200 grams of alpha-PVP, and 200 grams of heroin. Investigators also reportedly seized packaging materials such as zip-lock bags, adhesive tape, and scales, pointing to a well-organized repackaging operation for street-level distribution.
Concurrently, additional suspects were detained in the Kibray district as they allegedly attempted to conceal 200 drug packages across four different locations. Among those apprehended were young individuals from the Syrdarya, Fergana, and Namangan regions, including students who had reportedly traveled to the Tashkent area to engage in illicit earnings.
In total, the operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 4.7 kilograms of narcotics. Ministry officials claim that this volume would have been sufficient to produce roughly 245,000 single doses. Authorities are reportedly continuing their investigation to identify other potential participants and organizers tied to the online drug ring.
