Law enforcement authorities have uncovered illegal sales of expired and substandard medical products in pharmacies located across the Pap and Chust districts of the Namangan region. According to official reports from the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, over 6,300 packages of questionable pharmaceutical goods were confiscated during the raids, prompting the initiation of criminal proceedings.

Specifically, inspectors discovered expired medications and medical supplies openly displayed for sale at a pharmacy in the 'Sumalak guzari' neighborhood of the Pap district. Law enforcement sources claim that the pharmacy was allegedly managed by an individual with a prior criminal record. During the on-site inspection, authorities seized nearly 2,500 packages spanning 203 different items.

A similar violation was subsequently documented in the Chust district at a pharmacy situated in the 'Istikbol' neighborhood. In this instance, inspectors removed approximately 3,800 packages comprising 648 distinct medical items from circulation. Officials emphasized that none of the confiscated products possessed valid quality guarantees or met safety standards.

Criminal cases have been officially launched regarding both incidents under Article 276-12 of the national penal code, which penalizes the manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, or sale of substandard and falsified medications. Comprehensive investigative measures are currently underway to uncover the full scope of the violations.
