Uzbekistan has officially established a regulatory framework governing the maintenance of registries for sports facilities and non-governmental physical culture and sports organizations. According to the government decree, official sports competitions will henceforth be strictly prohibited at any sports venues that fail to secure inclusion in this mandatory registry.
Under the newly adopted guidelines, the registry of non-governmental sports organizations will be managed through a dedicated information system, with core data concerning registered entities made publicly accessible. Applications submitted for inclusion in the registry are mandated to be reviewed by authorized bodies within a timeframe of five working days.
Should applicants provide complete and accurate documentation, the organization will be formally inducted into the registry. Conversely, if discrepancies or shortcomings are identified within the submitted files, a rejection decision must be issued within three working days. Furthermore, the regulations outline specific grounds for exclusion from the registry, which include voluntary withdrawal, cessation of operations, failure to employ qualified coaching staff on payroll, or neglecting to input data regarding athletes and trainers within three months following initial registration.
The process for registering sports facilities requires the property owner or balance holder to submit an application via the digital information system. Facilities will be stripped of their registry status if their functional profile is altered, if they are deemed unfit for operational use, or if the owner formally requests de-registration. Ultimately, successful registration grants sports organizations and their athletes the official legal prerogative to participate in authorized national competitions.
