Turkish energy firm Aksa Enerji reportedly plans to sign agreements within the week to manage power distribution networks across the Tashkent, Syrdarya, and Jizzakh regions. This announcement was allegedly made by the company's chairman of the board, Cemil Kazanci, following discussions with the leadership of Uzbekistan, according to regional media reports.

According to the statements provided, the company intends to invest in distribution networks purportedly to reduce energy losses, lower production costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency. The chairman claimed that the meeting outlined initiatives allegedly serving the public interest, which the company aims to review promptly before submitting formal proposals.

Previously, the Turkish firm won an international tender to manage the power distribution networks of the Samarkand region. Under that 30-year agreement, the investor plans to channel approximately 1 billion dollars into regional infrastructure, including the replacement of numerous transformers and outdated transmission lines.

To date, Aksa Enerji has purportedly invested 750 million dollars into Uzbekistan's energy sector and constructed multiple power plants. However, the specific parameters and financial formats of the upcoming agreements for the three new regions remain undisclosed.
