A special mobile court session was held in the city of Qarshi, Qashqadaryo region, to review the cases of 60 individuals who have allegedly avoided their legal obligations to pay alimony for the support of their minor children. The proceedings were organized with the direct involvement of the Qarshi city branch of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau.
Following the court deliberations, administrative detention for a term of 15 days was reportedly assigned to 26 debtors who failed to provide valid reasons for their non-payment. Local authorities claim that such measures are necessary to enforce compliance and address the growing issue of financial neglect among parents.
At the same time, the court session yielded some compliance during the hearings. Specifically, another 26 debtors reportedly settled their entire accumulated alimony arrears during the session itself, leading to the termination of enforcement proceedings against them in accordance with statutory procedures.
Meanwhile, a specific timeframe was allegedly granted to the remaining 8 debtors to fulfill their mandated financial duties. Enforcement agencies stated that monitoring and punitive measures against negligent payers will persist across the region.
