On March 3, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation with Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.
Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel: "We expressed condolences over the civilian casualties resulting from recent events and demonstrated our solidarity with the affected families."
The ministers discussed the regional situation and noted that any further escalation could lead to serious humanitarian and security consequences.
"We reaffirmed our firm and consistent position that all disagreements and disputes must be resolved solely through peaceful means — via dialogue and diplomacy," said the Foreign Minister.
According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, 555 people have died from U.S. and Israeli attacks. Iranian state media report that at least 165 people were killed in a strike on a girls' primary school in Minab city.
Earlier, Saidov held telephone talks with counterparts from Middle Eastern countries — Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Bahrain, and the UAE. He discussed the regional situation with them and conveyed words of support and solidarity from Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
