Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. Israel's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig stated that Uzbekistan is not viewed as a high-risk area. During a March 3 press briefing, he said: "We have full trust in the level of security provided by Uzbekistan's authorities."

When asked about enhanced security around diplomatic missions, Lustig noted Israel sees no specific threat in Uzbekistan and praised cooperation with local agencies.

"Whenever a conflict escalates, potential threats emerge in various countries" – he said, adding that precautionary measures are standard and not specific to Uzbekistan.

On the Iranian embassy, Lustig said he had no information. He confirmed the early departure of Israel's judo team from Tashkent was due to security considerations.
