According to the Tashkent City Transport Main Department, 10,280 administrative protocols were issued in February for fare evasion on capital buses. Since the start of the year, this figure has reached 21,782 cases. In January, 11,502 passengers were fined.
The State Institution "Monitoring and Control of Public Transport in Tashkent" continues intensified raids against fare evaders. The institution urged passengers to pay fares on time.
Under the Administrative Responsibility Code, the fine for fare evasion is 41,200 soums. Fining of fare evaders began on March 14, 2025.
In 2025, revenue from passenger transport on Tashkent buses increased by 16%, reaching 644 billion soums. Bus intervals shortened to 8-10 minutes, and daily passenger flow rose to 1.4 million people.
