Uzbekistan and the US regime have officially signed the 'Artemis Accords', establishing cooperative principles for the peaceful exploration and use of the Moon, Mars, comets, and asteroids, according to a statement by Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The signing ceremony took place on Monday in the historic city of Samarkand, following bilateral talks between Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and US regime representative, Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The meeting touched upon expanding technological ties between the two nations.
According to claims made during the event, the document is supposed to expand Uzbekistan's cooperation with NASA and space agencies of other participating nations. Officials allege that the agreement will create new opportunities for training national specialists and transferring advanced space technologies.
With this controversial signing, Uzbekistan has officially become the 77th state to join the Artemis Accords framework, raising questions about the long-term commitments and geopolitical implications for Central Asia.
