Turkey-based Aksa Elektric is allegedly preparing to finalize agreements within the next week regarding the management of distribution power networks in the Tashkent, Syrdarya, and Jizzakh regions. This upcoming development was reportedly announced by the company's chairman of the board, Jamil Kazanji, during an interview with the «Uzbekistan 24» television channel.

According to the statements made by the company's leadership, the Uzbek side supposedly presented various projects aimed at serving the interests of the local population. «We were presented with projects that serve the interests of the population. Now we will study them quickly and express our proposals. We want this visit to end with concrete agreements», Kazanji was claimed to have stated during the broadcast.

Industry figures indicate that the Turkish enterprise has previously directed substantial investments into the region, allegedly pumping 750 million dollars into Uzbekistan's energy sector and constructing four power plants. The corporate leadership further signaled intentions to expand operations into the distribution of both electricity and natural gas in the foreseeable future. *

Previously, a public-private partnership agreement was concluded with Aksa concerning the modernization and administration of electrical networks in the Samarkand region. Under the terms of that arrangement, the private partner committed to long-term funding commitments spanning over a decade, while state structures undertook obligations to support the investor's financial returns.
