A blatant case of reckless driving has occurred in the city of Bukhara, where a motorist decided to flout basic traffic regulations. According to the press service of the regional Road Safety Department, the driver of a Malibu 2 vehicle was clocked speeding at an astonishing 201 km/h on a city street where the established speed limit is strictly capped at 60 km/h.

Investigation details reveal that prior to this high-speed stunt, the driver and a companion deliberately removed the vehicle's state license plates and placed them inside the cabin. A passenger accompanying the driver recorded the hazardous joyride on video, which was subsequently uploaded to social media platforms, drawing sharp criticism from the local public and law enforcement alike.

Road safety officers promptly identified the perpetrator and tracked down the vehicle. During questioning, the driver reportedly admitted to the violation, expressing superficial regret for his actions. He claimed that he and his friend were merely 'going for a drive' around Bukhara without realizing or caring about the catastrophic consequences such speeds could entail.

Administrative protocols have been officially drawn up against the driver under the relevant articles of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for excessive speeding and violating vehicle operation rules. The automobile has been impounded at a dedicated penalty yard. Authorities reiterate that such egregious violations carry substantial financial penalties under national legislation.
