International telecommunications holding VEON, which includes Beeline Uzbekistan, has reportedly reached an agreement to acquire 100% of the mobile operator Perfectum. The total value of the transaction is estimated at approximately $207 million, which includes around $93 million of the company's outstanding financial debt.

According to statements released by VEON, the parties intend to finalize the transaction by the end of October 2026. The acquisition is expected to reshape the local telecommunications landscape once completed.

Perfectum operates in Uzbekistan through Rubicon Wireless, possessing significant assets including a total of 115 MHz of frequency resources in the 850 MHz and 3,800 MHz bands, as well as core network infrastructure. Notably, the operator features a 5G Standalone network deployed using Nokia equipment.

VEON claims that upon completion of the deal, Beeline Uzbekistan’s frequency resources will expand by roughly 50%. The company allegedly intends to utilize these assets for advancing mobile networks, rolling out 5G services, and scaling up wireless broadband internet access.

Management purportedly expects that combining the two operators' infrastructures will reduce capital and operational expenditures. The acquisition will be funded through VEON's internal cash reserves, with necessary regulatory approvals reportedly already secured.
