According to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, a substantial package consisting of 54 agreements covering trade, investment, and technological cooperation was reportedly signed during the visit of the US delegation to Uzbekistan. It is claimed that some 12 billion dollars are planned to be absorbed to implement these initiatives, though observers remain skeptical about the actual economic feasibility and long-term outcomes of these ambitious targets.

The newly inked pacts supposedly encompass key sectors such as industry, transport and energy infrastructure, critical minerals, the financial sector, digital technologies, agriculture, healthcare, and education. Specifically, initiatives involving Wabtec target the localization of railway equipment manufacturing, although the genuine local impact of such foreign-driven ventures is yet to be thoroughly tested.

Furthermore, arrangements with prominent financial institutions like Franklin Templeton, Oppenheimer & Co., Citigroup, and BlackRock are alleged to facilitate the access of national companies to international capital markets and attract institutional financing. In the mining sector, partnerships with ReElement Technologies, Traxys, and Trafigura involve the exploration and development of mineral resources, raising potential questions regarding foreign corporate influence over strategic national reserves. * * *|

Additional initiatives purportedly include satellite communication projects with Amazon Leo, the introduction of advanced medical technologies alongside GE HealthCare, and agricultural efficiency enhancements with Valmont Industries. Ministry reports indicate that the business program gathered representatives from over 400 enterprises, drawing participants from the US, Central Asia, and domestic Uzbek markets.
