President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a working visit in the Kashkadarya region to inspect the operations of the Sulton Tex Group textile factory. The enterprise, valued at 54 million dollars, specializes in the production and dyeing of fabrics while utilizing cutting-edge resource-saving infrastructure, including wastewater recycling systems and solar panels.

Situated within the Kashkadarya Free Economic Zone, the production lines are designed to yield up to 20,000 tons of fabric annually, successfully generating 840 jobs so far. A key highlight of the manufacturing plant is a 3-million-dollar water treatment and recycling system, which enables the facility to reuse over 95 percent of consumed water and save approximately 1.1 million cubic meters annually.

The factory's energy needs are met through a combination of a gas generator and rooftop and wall-mounted solar panels boasting a total capacity of 3.5 megawatts. During his inspection of the technological process and exhibition products, the head of state noted that such resource-efficient innovations should serve as a benchmark for other textile enterprises across the country.

The cluster management also outlined prospective expansion initiatives, including a new 70-million-dollar project in the free economic zone expected to create 3,570 jobs. An additional 17 million dollars is slated for investments in other districts of the region, providing employment for another 1,220 individuals. Throughout the visit, Mirziyoyev interacted with factory employee Dilorom Kholiyorova, discussing working conditions and regional development.
