During a visit to the Kashkadarya region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in a ceremony launching and breaking ground on a sweeping array of new industrial and socioeconomic projects. Official reports claim that over the past five years, approximately 20 trillion soms have been directed to the region alongside 7 billion dollars in foreign investments, purportedly enabling the implementation of thousands of deep-processing initiatives and tripling per capita incomes.

The leader supposedly emphasized the necessity of processing agricultural goods locally within the region to ensure sustainable earnings for the local population. To achieve these objectives, authorities have prepared 161 projects with a total value exceeding 6 billion dollars, resulting in the inauguration of 69 ventures and the formal commencement of construction on another 92 projects during the ceremony.

Notably, the opening of 28 industrial enterprises has generated nearly 7,000 permanent jobs. The Italian brand 'Cotonella' is launching the production of 8.5 million finished knitwear items annually, while 14 additional textile projects are rolling out across the Kasan, Mirishkor, and Kasbi districts with the projected creation of 18,000 jobs.

Agricultural modernization efforts are also expanding significantly, as the US-backed 'Wosune Food Ingredients Karshi' enterprise prepares to process 100,000 tons of fruits and vegetables harvested across 3,500 hectares. This production reportedly targets exports worth 40 million dollars destined for major international brands such as 'Nestlé' and 'Purina'. Furthermore, investors from Egypt and Pakistan are developing 24,000 hectares in the Nishan and Guzar districts to launch new potato-farming and livestock initiatives.

In the energy sector, three hydroelectric power plants with a combined capacity of 24 megawatts have been commissioned along the Aksu River. Meanwhile, the Karshi district expects to commission a 150-million-dollar waste-to-energy plant built in cooperation with China's 'Shanghai SUS' by the end of the year, alongside nine micro-hydropower plants with a total capacity of 58 megawatts planned across the Kitab, Yakkabag, and Shakhrisabz districts.
