A severe tragedy has shaken the Bagat district of Uzbekistan's Khorezm region, resulting in the deaths of four members of a single family. The incident occurred on October 10 in the Manaviyat mahalla, claiming the lives of a mother and her three underage daughters under circumstances that are currently being investigated by local authorities.

The local mahalla chairman confirmed the fatalities to reporters, stating that while the exact cause of death remains officially undetermined, acute food poisoning is heavily suspected. According to preliminary accounts, the family had recently celebrated a birthday, and the following day, the mother and daughters consumed leftover salad from the celebration while the father was away from home.

Reports indicate that the fatal dishes had been prepared by the mother herself. The eldest of the deceased children was allegedly only seven years old, and the couple had no other children. Official agencies have not yet released a comprehensive statement regarding the ongoing investigation into the incident.
