According to official reports from the Uzbekistan Football Association, the national football team is scheduled to play an upcoming friendly match against Saudi Arabia. The anticipated encounter is set to take place on November 17 in the Qatari capital of Doha.
Looking at the latest rankings published by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), the Uzbekistan national team currently occupies the 59th position in the global standings. Meanwhile, their upcoming opponents from Saudi Arabia hold a slightly higher spot, sitting at 55th place.
It is worth recalling that during previous FIFA international windows, the Uzbek squad competed in several testing fixtures. Specifically, they secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Syria and defeated Iran with a score of 3-1. However, the team also experienced setbacks, notably suffering a 0-2 defeat against South Korea.
Furthermore, it was previously reported that the national team had lined up another friendly fixture in Tashkent on November 12 against the Russian team. This extensive series of preparatory matches is intended to test the squad's capabilities ahead of upcoming major official tournaments.
