During the period from January to August of the current year, Uzbekistan manufactured a total of 310,389 passenger cars across various models and brands. According to official figures released by the national statistical committee, this volume represents an increase of approximately 26,000 units compared to the same timeframe in the previous year, highlighting the ongoing expansion of the domestic automotive sector.

A detailed breakdown of production volumes by specific brands reveals that the Cobalt model continues to hold its position as the absolute market leader. In the first eight months of the year, manufacturers assembled 107,141 units of the Cobalt, meaning roughly one out of every three cars produced in the country belongs to this specific line. Other notable production volumes include the Damas (55,022 units), Tracker (29,781 units), alongside newer market additions such as BYD (23,850 units) and Onix (23,498 units).

Market dynamics indicate a shifting landscape driven by the introduction of alternative brands and modern assembly lines. The most significant surge in manufacturing growth was registered by BYD models, which saw an impressive 84.5 percent increase. Furthermore, steady upward trends were recorded for Onix, up by 16 percent, Haval, increasing by 17.4 percent, and KIA, which grew by 12.9 percent.

Industry analysts point out that while production scales are undoubtedly rising, the correlation between manufacturing output and actual retail sales requires careful observation. Official figures suggest that increased assembly volumes do not always translate proportionally into immediate consumer purchases, prompting domestic producers to navigate evolving market demands and rising competitive pressures.
