According to seismological data, a moderate earthquake struck Afghanistan late on October 25 at approximately 22:44:24 local time. The epicenter of the seismic event was located in the Badakhshan region, roughly 577 kilometers southeast of Tashkent, registering a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale.

Experts reported that the hypocenter was situated at a considerable depth of 149 kilometers, a factor that significantly mitigated the potential destructive force of the tremor upon reaching neighboring regions. Despite the substantial depth, the seismic waves propagated far enough to be registered in parts of Central Asia.

Official reports indicate that the tremors were felt with an intensity of 2 points in Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya, Fergana, and Kashkadarya regions. Authorities have stated that there are currently no immediate reports of casualties, injuries, or material damage resulting from the seismic activity.
