President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held an official meeting on October 26 with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who arrived in the country on a working visit. During the talks, the parties noted with satisfaction that bilateral relations have successfully reached the level of strategic partnership through consistent high-level dialogue.

The meeting thoroughly reviewed the current implementation progress of previously reached top-level agreements. The sides reached mutual understanding on further expanding joint projects across trade, economic, investment, social, and humanitarian sectors, emphasizing the need for accelerated execution of planned initiatives.

Additionally, the leaders exchanged views on pressing issues of global and regional significance. Discussions encompassed various international agenda items, highlighting the shared commitment to strengthening constructive multilateral cooperation.
