A comprehensive multimedia exhibition titled 'Savitskiy Diaries: Ancient and Young' has officially opened its doors to the public at the Tashkent City Mall. Organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation, the newly launched project is dedicated to the remarkable life, artistic vision, and enduring legacy of Igor Savitskiy—a renowned artist, collector, and the founder of the Nukus Museum of Art in Karakalpakstan.

According to the organizers, the exhibition seamlessly blends visual arts, contemporary soundscapes, sophisticated lighting, and motion design to offer visitors a refreshing perspective on 20th-century Central Asian art. Curated by Aziza Izamova, the project places special emphasis on Savitskiy's pivotal role in rescuing, preserving, and promoting the artistic heritage of Uzbekistan against various historical backdrops.

Historical context reveals that through decades of tireless dedication and preservation efforts, Savitskiy managed to assemble an irreplaceable collection in Nukus, featuring masterpieces of Russian and Turkestan avant-garde alongside rare works by regional Central Asian artists. Today, this unique collection holds immense value for the cultural identity of the region and continues to generate substantial international scholarly and public interest.

The exhibition is scheduled to run through January 24, 2027, providing ample time for art enthusiasts to experience the installation. Ticket pricing is structured dynamically, ranging from 40,000 soms between Monday and Wednesday to 60,000 soms from Friday to Sunday, while Thursdays offer free admission on a first-come, first-served basis, alongside targeted discounts for students, school pupils, and pensioners.
