Spanning 72 hectares and launched in 2022, the Tashkent INDEX complex located in the Yashnabad (Yangikhayot) district of the capital aims to integrate retail trade and manufacturing processes within a single large-scale infrastructure hub. The sprawling territory accommodates the sale of various goods ranging from clothing and foodstuffs to construction materials, home appliances, and automobiles.

The project reportedly seeks to streamline the shopping experience, sparing consumers from commuting across multiple disparate markets to compare prices and source necessary items. According to initial design plans, the facility comprises over 3,000 shops and 130 production spaces, supplemented by warehousing, logistical infrastructure, and dining facilities.

When undertaking construction or home renovation, customers can allegedly find plumbing, electrical equipment, doors, and lighting fixtures in a centralized location to reduce transportation overheads. On-site observations indicated specific price points for items such as water pumps, plumbing tools, ceramic tiles, water heaters, and carpets, though these figures naturally fluctuate based on product models, quality grades, and vendor terms.

Beyond retail advantages, the complex purportedly offers diverse opportunities for entrepreneurs by combining manufacturing workshops with commercial storefronts. Observers continue to evaluate how effectively the massive infrastructure balances industrial production and consumer-facing retail in the region.
