According to the press service of the Tashkent Metro, four modern elevator units with a total capacity of up to 60 passengers simultaneously have been installed and put into operation at the "Chinor" metro station. This initiative aims to improve accessibility for commuters using the above-ground transit infrastructure.
Officials report that the newly installed high-capacity elevators are fully equipped with advanced communication tools and video surveillance systems to guarantee passenger safety and monitor daily operations effectively.
The metro administration allegedly claims that the installation at the "Chinor" station serves as a pilot project. Based on the outcomes of this trial, similar elevator systems are planned to be gradually installed across other elevated metro stations in the near future.
