Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Saeid Iravani, has declared that the unlawful actions of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the international stage have incurred international legal responsibility and require compensation for damages inflicted upon Iran. This demand was articulated in an official letter sent to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, emphasizing the need for reparation for material and immaterial losses resulting from the UAE's alleged provision of its territory for U.S. strikes against Iran in previous years.

In the letter, Iravani asserted that the UAE's actions violated international law, thereby establishing its liability. Iran accuses the UAE of enabling American military operations, which Tehran claims poses a threat to regional stability. The document further stresses that compensation should encompass not only financial restitution but also assurances to prevent such incidents in the future, highlighting the gravity of Iran's grievances and the broader implications for Middle Eastern geopolitics.
