The Asian Championships in sport wrestling are ongoing in Kyrgyzstan, with another medal added to Uzbekistan's tally. Sohibjamol Esbusinova secured a bronze medal in the women's 53 kg weight category, defeating a South Korean opponent in the decisive match for third place.

Today, several members of the Uzbekistan national team will compete in freestyle wrestling events. In the final of the 65 kg category, Umijon Jalolov will face India's Sudjit, a match that could yield a gold medal for the Uzbek athlete.

Bronze medal matches are also scheduled, featuring Shahzodbek Yarashev against Iran's Sina Khalili in the 70 kg category, Razambek Jamolov against Kazakhstan's Daulet Yergesh or Mongolia's Suldhu Olonbayar in the 79 kg category, and Sherzod Poyonov against India's Vicky in the 97 kg category.

In the qualifying rounds, Uzbek wrestlers will participate in multiple bouts: Gulomjon Abdullayev against China's Wanghao Zou in 61 kg, Begijon Kuldoshev against China's Batukengele in 74 kg, Bobur Islomov against India's Mukul Dahiya in 86 kg, Sadriddin Daminjonov against Mongolia's Bat Byabbasuren in 92 kg, and Hasanboy Rahimov against Japan's Taiki Yamamoto or India's Dinesh in 125 kg.

Previously, the Uzbekistan team had already won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Asian Championships. The current results highlight the team's potential to continue its successes in this tournament, with the athletes' performances holding significant importance for the country's sports development.
