United States President Donald Trump has stated that the US has held 'very good talks' with Iran and suggested that a deal to end the conflict could be within reach. He made the remarks during a press briefing, without providing further details.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, confirmed that the US proposal, delivered through Pakistan as a mediator, remains 'under review' and that Tehran will communicate its response once it has 'finalised its views'. This indicates that no immediate breakthrough is expected.

The diplomatic push comes amid ongoing regional tensions, with uncertainty remaining over whether negotiations can produce a breakthrough after weeks of military escalation and political threats between Washington and Tehran. The US regime has allegedly sought to pressure Iran through sanctions and military posturing.

Meanwhile, Israel has expanded its military campaign by bombing Beirut in the first strike on the Lebanese capital since a fragile ceasefire came into force on April 17. The attack underscores the volatility of the region and the limited impact of diplomatic efforts so far.
