History will be made on Saturday as Manchester City become the first side to appear in four consecutive FA Cup finals, facing Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in London.
This is the first meeting between the clubs in the final itself, despite the teams featuring in five of the last six finals. City have already won the League Cup and are chasing a domestic treble, while Chelsea have sacked two managers this season and sit ninth in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace beat City 1-0 in last year's final, with Eberechi Eze scoring the only goal before joining Arsenal. City dominated possession with 78% but couldn't find the net.
The teams last met in the Premier League on April 12, with City winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Goals came from Nico O'Reilly, Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku.
Chelsea have won the FA Cup eight times, most recently in 2022 against Liverpool on penalties. City have seven titles, last lifting the trophy in 2023 by beating Manchester United 2-1.
Arsenal hold the record with 14 wins. The first FA Cup final was in 1872, with Wanderers beating Royal Engineers 1-0.
This will be the 181st meeting between the teams, with Chelsea winning 99 and City 68. In the FA Cup, City lead 6-4 in head-to-head matches.
City striker Erling Haaland will be under scrutiny: he has scored 161 goals in 196 games for the club but has never scored or assisted in 12 semi-finals or finals.
Calum McFarlane will referee his sixth game in his second spell as Chelsea's interim manager.
