Two EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft from the US Navy collided midair on Sunday during the Gunfighter Skies airshow near Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, officials said.
The crash occurred approximately two miles (3.2 km) from the base. Social media videos showed four parachutes deploying after the collision, indicating all crew members ejected.
Airshow organizers confirmed that all four crew members ejected safely and were recovered. Emergency responders secured the area, and an investigation is underway.
The Mountain Home base spokesperson stated that more details will be released as they become available. The base, located about 50 miles south of Boise, was locked down following the incident.
