Tyson Fury has announced his intention to return to the ring on August 1 in Dublin, Ireland, posting a training video on Instagram with the caption "Let's go August 1, Dublin, Ireland."

The fight is seen as a warm-up for a long-awaited "Battle of Britain" with fellow former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, potentially in November. Joshua will first face unheralded Albanian Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25.

Fury ended a 16-month retirement in April with a dominant win over Russia's Arslanbek Makhmudov, immediately calling out Joshua, who was at ringside. A verbal exchange followed, with Joshua taunting Fury.

Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has declared the fight "signed, sealed, delivered!" No opponent has been named for Fury's Dublin bout, though promoter Frank Warren ruled out Andy Ruiz Jr.
