In Group H, Uruguay and Cape Verde played an entertaining 2-2 draw. Cape Verde opened the scoring via a long-range free kick from Kevin Pina, but Uruguay responded with goals from Maximiliano Araujo and Agustin Canobbio. In the second half, Elio Varela capitalized on a defensive error to earn a valuable point for Cape Verde.

Earlier, Spain thrashed Saudi Arabia 4-0. After two rounds, Spain has 4 points, Uruguay and Cape Verde have 2 each, and Saudi Arabia has 1. All teams still have a chance to advance in the final round, where Spain meets Uruguay and Saudi Arabia faces Cape Verde.
