US President Donald Trump announced new massive strikes against Iran in an interview with Fox News, vowing daily attacks. 'Tonight we will hit them very hard, tomorrow night we will hit them very hard. And the next night too,' he said. The US leader claimed that US officials had contacted Tehran shortly before the interview, but trust in the Iranian side is undermined, alleging that Iran breaks agreements.

Trump asserted that Iran has no choice but to make a deal, otherwise US forces will destroy critical infrastructure. He warned that next week the US military will begin taking out bridges and leveling all power plants if Tehran does not negotiate. Currently, US forces have been striking Iranian targets for the fourth consecutive night and reinstated a naval blockade of ports, to which Iran responded by attacking US facilities in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain.

US experts express serious concerns about a potential large-scale war in the Persian Gulf. MIT professor Barry Posen warned that destroying Iranian infrastructure would force Tehran to attack facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE. He estimated that oil prices would skyrocket and Israel could be drawn into the conflict. Harvard political scientist Matthew Baum added that there is no short-term solution, as compromises on the nuclear program are impossible.

Amid these events, domestic political pressure is mounting in the US. Discontent with military actions is growing not only among the opposition but also within the president's own party. With congressional elections scheduled for November 3, a protracted conflict and economic consequences such as rising prices could become a central media topic and significantly complicate the administration's position.
