Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused the United States of a "barbaric" attack near Shahid Baghaei Specialised Hospital in Ahvaz, forcing the evacuation of 211 patients, including children undergoing chemotherapy. He called it a "cowardly war crime against the most innocent of human beings."

Hospital manager Dr. Majid Bou'azar confirmed the evacuation to Al Jazeera, with staff describing patients on oxygen, ventilators, and in wheelchairs being moved. Hospital director Reza Bazar said the attacks put the facility out of service.

Iranian officials condemned the strikes on civilian infrastructure as a "flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law," accusing the US of double standards by demanding compliance from the Global South while threatening war crimes themselves.

The US did not comment on the hospital strike but announced another wave of attacks on Iran. President Donald Trump threatened to strike Iranian power plants and bridges if Tehran does not return to talks, while Iran warned it would retaliate by targeting civilian infrastructure in Gulf states.

Iran reported that 17 hospitals have been severely damaged since the war began. The Ahvaz strike evoked memories of the Minab primary school bombing on the first day of the war, where at least 168 children were killed by US and Israeli forces. Amnesty International called the school strike "a shameful intelligence failure" or "a reckless and indiscriminate attack."
