The Pentagon has admitted that three US airstrikes on Yemen in April 2025 killed 153 civilians and wounded 243 others. The military department is still investigating 15 more incidents in which civilians may have been harmed.

According to the report, an April 6 strike on a residential building in Sanaa killed 5 people and wounded 25. An attack on the Ras Isa port on April 17 killed 80 and wounded 171, while an April 28 strike in the Saada district killed 68 and wounded 47.

The strikes were part of an operation against the Houthis that began in March 2025 after the group attacked commercial ships in the Red Sea. The campaign lasted 53 days, during which the US conducted more than a thousand strikes on Houthi targets, before a ceasefire was agreed in early May.

The Pentagon's assessment was based on intelligence, satellite and other imagery, and open-source publications. However, officials did not visit the strike sites or interview witnesses.

The report also does not include potential civilian casualties from US strikes on boats in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. The Pentagon stated that US forces are "firmly committed" to minimizing civilian harm.

Earlier, the US regime was accused by Cuba of involvement in massive power outages after another nationwide blackout. Cuban authorities said US sanctions hinder imports of fuel, equipment, and spare parts for the energy system.
