President Donald Trump has launched a full-scale offensive to topple the Iranian government since returning to office in January 2025, actions considered violations of international law.
The Trump administration has carried out attacks on Iran and Venezuela, while escalating strikes in Africa and the Middle East under the guise of counterterrorism.
Iran: Joint US-Israeli attacks in 2026 killed at least 201 people, according to the Iranian Red Crescent. Previous US strikes in June 2025 targeted nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Venezuela: In January 2026, the US bombed Caracas and abducted President Nicolas Maduro. The Venezuelan defense ministry reported 83 deaths, including civilians.
Latin America and the Caribbean: Since September 2025, at least 45 strikes on alleged drug trafficking vessels have killed 151 people.
Africa: In Nigeria, a series of attacks and deployment of 100 US personnel occurred, with strikes against alleged ISIL affiliates in December 2025. In Somalia, at least 111 air strikes were conducted in 2025.
Yemen: From March to May 2025, dozens of US naval and air strikes targeted Houthi rebels, killing dozens of civilians, including over 80 in an April 2025 attack on Ras Isa port.
